Lemonade Bar Bank
The Lemonade Bar/Bank is this Winter's (starts January) woodshop project. Students
learn about tools, design and assembly. Woodshop is fun, rewarding and educational.
Participants take pride in creating something out of wood. During the process they
are both learning and having fun. We teach basic woodshop skills with a focus on
safety. Children learn how to saw, glue, measure, drill, nail, follow directions,
think for themselves and design. Everyone remembers woodshop!
This session the project is a Lemonade Bar/Bank. As usual, much attention has been given
to the detail and a fair amount of precision is required. The box, when closed,
will resemble a collection of sticks or a log, but it opens to reveal a spacious
area. The log box is an eye catching, useful and unusual box. It makes for a great
center piece and much conversation.
